Firstly a massive thanks to all the schools that could attend the event this year. The tournament was organised in a relatively short period of time so to attract so many teams was very much appreciated. There appeared to be a lot of happy children and shrieks of joy as well from children, parents and teachers around the pitches so hopefully that was a sign that everyone had a fun day. In the end we had 14 teams from 5 schools and a lot of football was played. The weather was very kind, the ice creams and burgers were in good supply and Tim and John did a fabulous job of organising and hosting the day. Not to mention the vital role our team managers and coaches played in reff'ing all the games. Edgar as per usual was there at the start and the end and managed the car park with consummate ease.
Next year we will be aiming to extend the tournament to more primary schools and judging by the feedback that we already have had, we don't think this will be too much of a challenge.
