Club History

Bromyard FC came into being on 1st August 2011 when the Junior section of Bromyard Town FC split away from the club by mutual consent. The junior section mobilised to form a new club called Bromyard FC.

Our new club continued to play on the Grammar school field and Broadbridge field for the 2011 /12 and 2012 / 13 seasons before it became clear that it was not possible to secure a deal with the lease holders of the Grammar School field to stay there any longer.

In time for the 2013 season we decided to train and play our matches in a variety of locations ie, St Peters Primary School, Queen Elizabeths Humanities College, Broadbridge Field and Bishops Frome Mudwalls recreation field.

The club has gone from strength to strength adding teams as we have developed each season. We ran a very successful men's side and added a Veterans team in the summer of 2013 and also established a Saturday morning club, Mini-Kickers for all those youngsters that wanted to gain their first experience of the game.

In the summer of 2014 we created a ladies team and also started our first girls side.

We achieved the FA Charter Standard Mark in time for the 2014 - 15 season and successfully retained it every year since. We then moved on to develop our Community Status during the following year.

Also in time for the 2014 - 15 season we established a permanent home for the club at Bishops Frome which is where we reside currently.

Our teams currently cover age groups ranging from U8’s through to U14’s and although we have an u12’s girls team there is plenty of scope and motivation to develop the girls and ladies format of the game.

We will continue to be at the heart of our local community and develop the club to provide football to all ages and genders.
